Dakota Johnson Paired a Sheer Lingerie Bodysuit With a Mini Skirt for Gucci’s Show

Dakota Johnson made lingerie front row ready for the Gucci show in Milan today, pairing a sheer black bodysuit with a matching blazer and mini skirt for her appearance. Johnson carried a studded black bag and accessorized with a necklace, sheer tights, and black boots. She wore her hair down straight, with her signature blunt bangs on display.

This is far from Johnson’s first time making her lingerie event-ready. The actress has a long history of wearing Gucci clothes that blend boudoir with red carpet attire, from sheer corset tops to nude studded mini dresses, with a see-through form-fitting black jumpsuit in between.

Johnson spoke to Vanity Fair in June 2022 about how Gucci’s former creative director Alessandro Michele was a close friend of hers before she became an ambassador for the brand in 2017. “We talk a lot, we text,” she said. “I don’t feel he’s elsewhere when I speak to him, which I feel most of the time when I speak to people that work in fashion.” Sabato De Sarno is now the creative director for the fashion house.

She also addressed her upbringing and her how her mother, actress Melanie Griffith, described her as a “privileged gypsy” as a kid.

“I think that glamorizes it a little bit or makes it seem like everything was totally amazing all the time,” Johnson said. “My life is incredibly lucky and privileged, and the life I led growing up was remarkable—the places I went and how we lived and what we were able to experience. But we also struggled with internal family dynamics and situations and events that are so traumatic.”

She added later in the interview that she has spent a lot of time in therapy and looks for greater meaning in life in order to continue onward.

“Being alive is still such a mystery to me, and maybe I think about it more because I am in therapy, and I have struggled with depression for my whole life. I’m always trying to navigate that in an honest and safe way,” she said. “My job is luck. I get to go on journeys of exploring people’s minds. And I think—in a time where I’m reading that Roe v. Wade is most likely going to be overturned [it had not been yet when the interview was conducted] and everyone is struggling so hard right now and people are being so horrible to each other—that if I didn’t try and apply great meaning to little things, I honestly don’t think I’d make it. I think I’d be in a loony bin.”
