Lopez additionally shared a new bejeweled drinking cup to mark the beginning of Shotgun Wedding, her new project. According to IMDb, the movie is an action rom com: “A couple’s extravagant destination wedding is hijacked by criminals. In the process of saving their families, they rediscover why they fell in love in the first place.“
Lopez’s husband-to-be will be played by Josh Duhamel.
Lopez is engaged to Alex Rodriguez in real life. Her wedding to him has been postponed multiple times due to the coronavirus pandemic. As Lopez told ELLE in its February 2021 issue, she and A-Rod were supposed to get married in Italy in 2020, then the pandemic changed everything for everyone.
“We postponed the wedding twice,” she admitted. “We had planned what we really, really wanted to do, [but] I don’t know if we’ll be able to re-create that. We canceled it, and since then we haven’t really talked about it. There’s no rush. We want to do it right when we can do it. We just have to wait to see where the world lands.”
