Get ready to head back to Rosewood, because a new set of liars are coming.

Riverdale creator and showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa is currently planning to bring back Pretty Little Liars for another run, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Fans who are hoping to see their favorite characters back for more fun might be disappointed: The show will have a completely different story and characters than the original. There’s no word if it will have any connection to the original series.

This isn’t the first time that a brand new show has come out with the Pretty Little Liars name. The show ended up becoming such a big success for ABC Family and later Freeform that it had two different spin-offs throughout its release. Ravenswood followed Caleb after he moved to the nearby town. Meanwhile, Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists took place after the original series ended and showed what happened to Alison and Mona when they work at Beacon Heights University.

While the original Pretty Little Liars ran for seven seasons, Ravenswood and Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists both ended after just one.

Currently, the project does not have a network attached and has yet to be shopped around. However, there’s a good chance that it will move over to HBO Max, where Pretty Little Liars is currently streaming. According to The Hollywood Reporter, a source has revealed that HBO Max is the top choice, versus bringing it back to Freeform or anther streaming service.

Since the show is currently in the early stages of creation, fans will have to wait a while to see it come to life. Until then, they can rewatch the original over at HBO Max.
