Adele is starting off 2020 with a little sand and surf. Photos posted to Twitter on Saturday show the Grammy winner splashing around in the ocean in Anguilla in the Eastern Caribbean. The tweet mentioned that she had been spotted there with Harry Styles and James Corden.
In the photos, Adele is wearing a navy patterned dress that looks similar to the blue polka-dotted Reformation dress that Kaia Gerber wore to a Miami wedding in late November 2019. She paired the dress with a red scarf around her neck and gold hoop earrings and a chunky necklace.
Adele, Styles, and Corden were likely all getting a little breather in before they entered their busy lives in 2020. Styles, in particular, is coming off of a successful 2019, in which his album, Fine Line, released on December 13. By December 19, the album had earned 478,000 equivalent album units in the U.S., which marked the biggest week in sales for a pop album by a male artist in over four years. That week was also the third-biggest week overall for any album in 2019.
Last year might have been a big year for Styles, but Adele might be gearing up for a big 2020 with her music. Following her divorce from her son’s father, Simon Konecki, the singer reportedly took some time to regroup—and possible—create some more hits.
“She is definitely getting ready both mentally and physically to promote new music. It seems it will happen later this year,” a source told People in September of last year. “She talks about last year as a very difficult year, and she’s said in the past that creating new music is almost like therapy. You can tell that she is ready to share with her fans.”
