Channing Tatum’s year-plus long romance with Jessie J is done, People and Us Weekly are reporting. There wasn’t drama behind the split as much as being long distance.

Us Weekly was told by a source that the two quietly “broke up about a month ago. They are still really close and still good friends.”

A source gave People more details behind the split. “Channing and Jessie have different priorities and focuses that don’t really align,” that source explained. “They had a fun relationship, but it just didn’t work out. Channing needs to be in LA a lot so he can spend time with Everly [his daughter with ex-wife Jenna Dewan]. Jessie prefers England. They are still friendly though.”

Jessie J and Tatum started dating in October 2018, a couple months after Dewan and Tatum announced their separation in May. Dewan has since moved on and is expecting her first child with boyfriend Steve Kazee.

Dewan wrote in her memoir Gracefully You that she was blindsided by the news Tatum and Jessie J were dating in one of the last times their low-key relationship made headlines. Dewan wrote, “I was learning things about my ex most people wouldn’t have to face–and over the internet, as it was happening. There I was, on a plane, alone, finding out about his new relationship. I felt blindsided. Choosing grace as I learned everything about my personal situation along with the rest of the world was really difficult.”
