We’ve already watched it five times.
Celine Dion is a legend. As Canadians, we’ve known that for a long time.
And in case anyone else in the world was wondering, the singer’s new holiday video for Instagram Shopping will most certainly convince them.
Today, Instagram released a 60-second video promoting its shopping feature ahead of the holidays, starring Dion in a recreation of her It’s All Coming Back To Me Now video clip from 1996.
The video specifically focuses on the resurgence of ’90s fashion (it even includes an excellent flashback to one of Dion’s outfits from the decade), and features pieces from Michael Kors (which recently opened its new flagship store in Montreal), Retrosuperfuture, Bershka, Adidas, Oscar de la Renta and more. In the clip, Dion sports everything from a fashion-forward Canadian tuxedo (courtesy of Revolve) to a two-piece snakeskin ensemble and a black catsuit from Khloe Kardashian’s Good American. Naturally, she looks incredible in all of them.
Sharing the clip on Instagram, the Grammy Award winner wrote, “Honey, over the top music videos never went out of style. Had so much fun working with my friends at Instagram to bring ’90s style back for the holidays.”
According to WWD, the video was styled by Mel Ottenberg, who regularly works with music’s other style icon, Rihanna.
Dion is currently in the midst of her Courage world tour. She has already performed in Montreal (she’ll return in February next year) and is making her way to Toronto next week for two nights at Scotiabank Arena. The tour will land in Vancouver, Edmonton, Saskatoon and Winnipeg in April 2020.
Instagram Shopping was introduced in 2018 and allows brands to tag products in posts which users can shop directly from.
