Caitlyn Jenner Says She and Khloé Kardashian Haven’t Spoken in This Many Years

Since Caitlyn Jenner came out as transgender on the cover of Vanity Fair in 2015, she’s been open about her relationships with her family—namely her children and stepchildren. As ITV confirmed earlier this month, she is on the popular reality TV show I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here, where she is being just as candid as usual.

While talking with her campmates about her transition, Jenner said that Khloé Kardashian was never as accepting as her other children.

“The first was the kids, I started with Brandon my son and he said to me: ‘Dad, I’ve always been so proud to be your son but I’ve never been more proud of you than right now.’ I went through every kid and Khloé for some reason was pissed off about something through this whole process; it’s been five or six years, and I really haven’t talked to her since.” Per The Sun, she reportedly added: “We were really close. I raised her since she was five years old; I really don’t know what her issues are.

Many fans were upset that Jenner implied that Kardashian was not comfortable with her stepparent’s transition and expressed their frustration on Twitter. Fans pointed to the fact that in her April 2017 book, The Secrets of My Life, Jenner revealed some things about Kris Jenner that did not sit right with certain members of the Kardashian family, including Khloé.

“We don’t care if you transition. We wanna support you and be there for you… In our opinion, you don’t even need to mention my mom,” she said to Jenner in a clip of Jenner’s former reality show, I Am Cait.

Fans were paying attention then, and they’re certainly alert now.
