Come November 29, Kacey Musgraves will bring her bedazzled brand of yee-haw energy to the holiday season. The first trailer for her upcoming Amazon special The Kacey Musgraves Christmas Show has been released, giving fans a sneak peek of the musical merriment.
Hosted by Dan Levy (Schitt’s Creek), the special will see Musgraves will welcome a potluck of celebrity guests including Camila Cabello, James Corden, Leon Bridges, Zooey Deschanel, Lana Del Rey, Kendall Jenner, Fred Armisen, Troye Sivan, the Radio City Rockettes, and most importantly, “Kacey’s Actual Nana.” It’s gonna be one eclectic Christmas party.
The Grammy winner will perform songs from her 2016 album A Very Kacey Christmas, which include “Let It Snow” featuring Corden, and originals “Present Without A Bow” featuring Bridges and “Christmas Makes Me Cry.” Musgraves will also gift the world with new renditions of “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” featuring Cabello and “I’ll Be Home For Christmas” featuring Del Rey. An official soundtrack of the performances will also be available on November 29.

The special is sure to reflect Musgraves’ musical persona, which blends traditional country with modern disco and pop flourishes. Amazon describes The Kacey Musgraves Christmas Show as a “tribute to holiday specials of the past whilst also reinventing just what a Christmas special can be, with a magically modern twist.” Musgraves is the latest celebrity to join the Christmas special trend, following the likes of John Legend and Chrissy Teigen’s A Legendary Christmas (2018) and Gwen Stefani’s You Make It Feel Like Christmas (2017).
