If Hustler’s wasn’t enough to convince you that Jennifer Lopez is all about evolution, then maybe stop reading. The performer debuted her latest transformation on Instagram and it’s now the only winter hair inspiration we’ll ever need. Celebrity hair stylist Chris Appleton shared the first shot of her lighter, mid-length ‘do, a bob with chunky golden face-framing highlights.
The look has a lot to dissect. There’s highlights, an asymmetric part, and an 100 percent chance I’ll be contemplating a chop of my own for the rest of the week. Lopez posted her own photo of the cut on IG, posing for a selfie alongside Appleton and makeup artist Scott Barnes. “These guys…doing what they do… #newcut,” she captioned.
Recently, Lopez has sported longer strands while doing casual J.Lo things like prepping for her Super Bowl halftime performance and closing out the Versace show during Milan Fashion Week. She did, however, flirt with a golden-hued bob at September’s Toronto International Film Festival premiere of Hustlers.

It remains to be seen which bridal look Lopez will sport for her upcoming movie Marry Me, which she’s been spotted filming in New York City, or her real-life wedding to Alex Rodriguez. But if her recent styling is any indication, the world’s hair stylists will need to be on speed dial.
