Selena Gomez’s days of social media silence are long behind her. The singer had a particularly buzzy 24 hours, sharing photos from Julia Michaels’ ’90s prom birthday party, teasing the candid interview she gave to her friend Raquelle Stevens on Giving Back Generation, and unveiling her dog Winnie’s very first fashion campaign with her for Puma. Gomez, a brand ambassador, shared a shot of her in the brand’s Cali Sport shoes while cuddling her dog. The dog matched the shoes, so he made the ad, truly:
Gomez has shared photos of Winnie on her Instagram a couple times before, but this is his first foray into being a pet influencer.
But Gomez was particularly supportive of Michaels yesterday, her friend and co-writer on “Lose You to Love Me.” Gomez and Michaels got a tattoo together after Gomez made a guest appearance on Michaels’ concert and performed their duet “Anxiety” with her.
Gomez also shared photos of them together at Michaels’ birthday party this week. “My love, my heart and my soul @juliamichaels 🖤,” Gomez captioned the Instagram gallery post.
“😭😭😭😭🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 the amount I love you is unreal,” Michaels commented back.
Gomez spoke candidly to her close friend Stevens in her new Giving Back Generation interview about how important her faith and friends have been in helping her persevere during the more challenging times in her life. “I think once I started to really understand my spirituality, and believing in something much bigger than myself was very important for me,” Gomez said. “Because I don’t believe that I can do this life alone. I know that we’re not perfect. I know that what I read in the Word that I live in is all kinds of stories of pain and trials and redemption and restoration, so I believe that so much, but it’s my friends too. You guys help me through a lot of it and you walk through most of it with me.”
