I’ve seen my fair share of sweet videos on Instagram, but Shakira’s most recent post may take the cake. On Wednesday, the 45-year-old artist shared a video of herself with her father after he returned home from the hospital following a “bad fall.”

“Con mi papá de alta, ya en casa y en el camino ascendente, ayudándole con su estimulación cognitiva después del traumatismo. Gracias a todos por arroparnos con su inmenso cariño,” she wrote in the caption, which translates to “With my dad after his discharge, already at home and on the path to recovery, helping him with his cognitive stimulation after the injury. Thank you to everyone for wrapping us in your immense care.”

In the video, Shakira holds up white signs with words such as “leer” (which translates to “read”) and “tirar” (“throw”) as her father repeats them back to her. The Colombian singer praises him with a “muy bien,” meaning “very good,” when he correctly identifies the word.

Around the 20-second mark, you can hear the singer say what translates to “stronger, louder, your voice” as her father works through the deck, encouraging him to speak up. If you’re like me, by the end of the clip, you’ll have happy tears in your eyes.

In a Twitter post following her father’s accident, Shakira asked fans to send their best wishes: “Guys, I’m getting a lot of messages of concerns that I was seen in an ambulance in Barcelona recently. I just wanted to let you know that those photos are from last weekend (the 28th), when my dad unfortunately had a bad fall and I accompanied him in an ambulance to the hospital where he is recovering now. Please do send all your best wishes his way and thank you all as always for all of your love and support.”

Thoughtful comments and wishes have flooded in since Shakira posted the clip with her father. The video already has more than 7 million views, with comments such as “Que se recupere prontito bella” — which translates to “Get well soon beautiful ” — and “Ay mi vida!! Que no se te olivie nunca de lo que estás hecha! Te abrazo” (“Oh my life!! May you never forget what you are made of! Sending you a hug”). Here’s to a speedy recovery for Shakira’s father.
