10 Braids You Should Try Right Now

Chunky Pull-Thru Braid

A simple ponytail doesn’t have to be your default style for super long hair. For this braid, you’ll need hella clear elastics, a large clip (to keep excess stands out the way) and roughly five wefts of clip-in extensions. Start by dividing your hair into four sections to assist in strategically placing in your extensions. Now, create two ponytails and secure each with an elastic. Split the top ponytail in two and place over your shoulder. Take the second ponytail and clip on the top of your head.

Now, combine your first ponytail with a third section and position it underneath your primary ponytail before adding another clip-in. Tie the section off, and you’ll see you created the beginnings of your braid. Repeat this pattern and process until you are able to braid your hair all the way down to the ends and secure with an elastic.

Once complete, gently pull your braid apart—do this in small sections—to make it look chunky and undone. If you have strays in the front, grab a curling wand and curl the pieces away from your face. #SoRomantic
